Bruiloft in Las Colinas Spanje – Wedding in Las Colinas Spain – Sofie and Bert

Las Colinas Wedding

This lovely couple from Belgium had their wedding in Las Colinas. It was organised by Ann and Han from 24 Seven.  They did an amazing job with the planning of their Big day.

Sofie and Bert wanted their wedding to be everything but ordinary ! When their guests arrived in their resort, they were all welcomed with a bottle of wine, a letter to explain what was happening, mosquito spray and water to go with the paracetamol. Which no doubt they have used the day after the wedding! Or probably the day of the wedding as they had a pre-wedding party the day before in the Orangerie which is also on the resort.

Getting ready

The big day started off with Sofie getting ready. I have honestly not ever seen a bride be sooo relaxed as she was! Her best friends did her hair and make up. She looked ever so gorgeous in her funky wedding dress with red ribbon at the back and matching killer red heels. Never ever have I heard a bride tell her friend to go and find scissors to cut the dress shorter! But wow she knew what she was doing cause her legs my oh my. I believe Tina Turner would be well jealous!

We were running a bit late and Sofie decided to do the First Look, where bride and groom first see each other before the ceremony. They were both in tears and looked stunning!

The beach

Following we went to the beach of Cabo Roig where the ceremony took place and again it didn’t go as usual. Sofie and Bert walked down the aisle together. Most of the official speech of the priest wasn’t done. On the other hand they asked close friends and colleagues to say something nice. Everybody received a colorful umbrella for some shade. I must say it was a brilliant toy for the kids it kept them occupied the whole ceremony.

The ceremony was followed by champagne on the beach and photos. Their poor little girl, Lotte, wasn’t well that day, bless her but she was ever so good and even managed to squeeze out a smile.

The guests were taken back by a bus with big ‘Sofie and Bert’  stickers on, it’s all about detail;-)

At the venue Las Colinas everything was decorated with colorful lanterns and lights, everybody enjoyed their meal and danced the night away!

Sofie and Bert, loved being part of your day, you two are amazing people and no doubt I will see you soon here on the Costa Blanca. Lots of love and all the best.

sheriphotography: I am a photographer located on the Costa Blanca about ten minutes from Torrevieja and in between Alicante and Murcia. I cover most areas and places on the coast where a lot of couples choose to get married such as Altea, Benidorm, Javea, Mar Menor, San Miguel. Marbella and more. I am married and we have two little boys called Luca and Joshua. Because my husband and I share the same passion, they are probably the most photographed kids in the world. Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by cameras. It all started because my favourite uncle had a camera around his neck. I would follow him around and try to pursuade him to let me hold the camera and take some pictures. I couldn't wait to see the results. When I was around 17, I took a couple of courses to develop my skills a bit more and after a while I worked as a second shooter along side a very good professional photographer, who thought me even more. I 've also got my intermediate vocational education in PR, Marketing and Management and Higher Vocational Education in HRM. I left the corporates behind me to pursue my true passion!
