Wedding in Villaitana Benidorm- Cristina and Kevin

Melia Villaitana Resort

In the lovely Villaitana hotel in Benidorm I was second shooting the wedding of Cristina and Kevin. A fantastic golf resort with gorgeous views over the 2 golf courses. When AJ and myself arrived at the hotel we started photographing with some prep shots of the groom and his best mates. We took photos of him and his groomsmen getting ready for his big day. Followed by bridal prep of Cristina, the bride who is a stunning looking woman with such a sweet character, she is Spanish but lived in the UK where she met her love of her life. Can you believe when she finally got the courage to ask Kevin for his phone number, he gave her the wrong number!! Luckily it turned out to be fine with as a result this beautiful wedding day.

She wore a beautiful wedding dress of Pronovias She had her wedding flowers delivered to the hotel room which were beautiful orchids. My absolute favourite! Used the buttonholes for some pictures with the wedding rings.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in one of the gardens of the golf resort. Everybody was doing the sun dance as the predicted weather didn’t promise any good. It was very windy and grey on this perfect day . The wedding ceremony was stopped just after the ring exchange because it started to rain! I guess everybody’s sun dance didn’t pay off. We moved 50 mtrs to get cover and carried on with the ceremony. This didn’t ruin their perfect day at all. Everybody was still enjoying themselves and when the canapes and chilled drinks were served it got even better.

The dinner was planned indoors, in one of the gorgeous dining rooms of the hotel. The evening was filled with laughter, speeches, a flamenco show and a surprise act of their friends.

The room next door, underground disco type room was the place where the DJ made the crowd shake their booties all night!

sheriphotography: I am a photographer located on the Costa Blanca about ten minutes from Torrevieja and in between Alicante and Murcia. I cover most areas and places on the coast where a lot of couples choose to get married such as Altea, Benidorm, Javea, Mar Menor, San Miguel. Marbella and more. I am married and we have two little boys called Luca and Joshua. Because my husband and I share the same passion, they are probably the most photographed kids in the world. Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by cameras. It all started because my favourite uncle had a camera around his neck. I would follow him around and try to pursuade him to let me hold the camera and take some pictures. I couldn't wait to see the results. When I was around 17, I took a couple of courses to develop my skills a bit more and after a while I worked as a second shooter along side a very good professional photographer, who thought me even more. I 've also got my intermediate vocational education in PR, Marketing and Management and Higher Vocational Education in HRM. I left the corporates behind me to pursue my true passion!
